Gloria Adams Mann

Gloria Adams Mann, 79, of Broad Creek, NC died Monday, March 14, 2011 at Carolina East Medical Center, and went on to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Services will be held 7:00 pm Thursday at the White Oak Church of God with Rev. Rich Franklin, Rev. Douglas Allen, and Rev. Chris Willis officiating. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 am Friday at Gethsemane Memorial Park.

Gloria was born in Carteret County on January 4, 1932 to Leslie and Jessie Adams. She was a loving mother, nanny, sister, and friend to many. She loved and gave without any expectations. She was a wonderful cook and hostess to the many who were fed along the way. She was an unchanging Christian hero.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Preston Mann of the home; son, Rex Mann and wife, Sheila; daughter, Twila Mann Bryant and husband, Greg of Gastonia, NC; grandchildren, Jeff and Nicole Bryant, Gary and Tabatha Mann, and Stacy and Matt Lamb; three great-grandchildren, Sydney, Sophia, and Savannah; brother, Ottis Adams; and sisters, Velma Stewart and Faye Willis.

The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday prior to the service and also following the service at the church.
