Gloria Kay Case

Gloria Kay Case, 75, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at her home.

 A Celebration of Life will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 22nd in the Fellowship Hall of Glad Tidings Church. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 21st at Munden Funeral Home.

Gloria, known to friends and family as Kay was born on February 12, 1948, in Morehead City, to the late Will Lawrence and Kathleen Oglesby.  Kay was a past member of the Jaycees.  She was a member of the Highland Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville.  Kay was an avid reader, especially reading mysteries, she also loved doing things with her hands such as embroidery, sewing, and crafting.

Kay was a loving wife of 41 years, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a loving caregiver of her husband for the last 15 years of his life.  She loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jan Sanders and husband Eddie of Morehead City and Wendy Buck and husband John of Newport; sister, Phyllis Key and husband Pat of Pensacola, Fla.; brother, Richard Lawerence of Morehead City; grandchildren, Melanie Sanders McGonagle (Jake), Bryan Sanders (Sahra), Hunter Sanders, Kayeleigh Hughes (Brewer), Casen Hardy, Hatteras Buck; great-grandchildren, Jacob McGonagle, Jolene McGonagle, Kohen Hughes, Oakleigh Hughes, Miles Sanders, and Bodhi Hughes.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to the Carteret Home Health and Hospice, 3722 Bridges Street, Suite 201, Morehead City, NC  28557 or Broad Street Clinic, 500 N. 35th St., Morehead City, NC  28557.

The family would like to say a special thanks to her hospice nurses, Robin Lingle, Nancy Garland, and Trisha Yarborough, also her PA Sabrina Boyte and caregiver Sherry Waller.
