Glen "Big Glen" Whitehead

Glen “Big Glen” Whitehead, 65, of Beaufort, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at his home.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, November 30, 2017 at North River United Methodist Church with Pastor David Jones officiating.

Big Glen was a member of North River United Methodist Church. He had an Associates Degree from Wilson Technical Institute and worked for Open Grounds Farms for 43 years. He was a loving Paw Paw, Father, and Husband.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Whitehead of the home; daughter, Amanda Boyd of Beaufort; son, Richard “Corey” Whitehead and wife Shelly of Beaufort; mother, Barbara Whitehead of Tarboro; sisters, Paula Downs of Greenville, Susan Skinner and husband Jeff of Indian Beach, and Sharon Turner and companion, George Grecky of Greenville; and grandchildren, Benjamin Boyd, Harper Grey Boyd, and Mason Whitehead.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard “Dick” Whitehead, and a brother, Donald Whitehead.

The family will receive friends following the service in the Dail Building at North River United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North River United Methodist Church, 2494 Hwy 70, Beaufort, NC 28516.
