Gladys Lorraine (Lupton) Smith

Gladys Lupton Smith, 82, of Beaufort, died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Crystal Bluffs.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at Cedar Island United Methodist Church with Rev. Darcy officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Island Community Cemetery.
Gladys was a wife, mama, grandmama, great grandmama, and best cook ever! She dedicated her life to spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the "loves of her life".
She is survived by her husband Eldon Smith, Jr. of the home; one daughter Donna Gillikin and fiance James Pullen of Beaufort; one son Rodney Smith and wife Karen of Cedar Island; one brother Julian Lupton of Beaufort; three grandchildren Alicia Cole and husband James, Casey Smith and fiance Kevin Styron, and Isaiah Smith and wife Maggie; four great grandchildren Kayla and Kendall Cole, Nathanel Styron, and Emory Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charlotte and Elmer Lupton, and sister Madeline Morris.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
The family would like to thank the staff of Crystal Bluffs and especially Jo.
