Gertrude "Trudy" (Smith) Morse

Gertrude "Trudy" Morse, 82, of Morehead City, died Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Croatan Ridge Nursing Home.
Mrs. Morse was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.
Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Parkview Baptist Church with Dr. George Tumlin officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
She is survived by her sister, Brenda Lowdermilk and husband Richard Lowdermilk of Atlantic; brother, Guy Smith, Jr. and wife June of Beaufort; two grandsons, Richard Horne, II and wife Jamie Horne of Morehead City and Brandon C. Horne of Newport; and two great-grandchildren, Riley Horne and Laura Horne.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thompson Morse; son, Richard L. Horne; parents, Guy Smith and Lola Smith; and sister, Dorothy Smith "Peg" Johnson.
The family will receive friends 10:00 - 11:00 am Thursday prior to the service at the church.
