Gerald "Jerry" Sanford

Gerald "Jerry" Sanford, 57, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022.

Jerry was born on February 26, 1964, to the late Clarence and Beatrice Sanford. He was born in Syracuse, New York and grew up in Havelock, North Carolina. He loved riding motorcycles, the relaxing feeling, seeing the countryside and the great sense of adventure was always enjoyable to him. Bonfires, loud music, and good friends defined his way of relaxing and enjoying life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Sanford of the home; daughters, Naasha S. McGann and husband Jesse of Atlanta, GA and Madria Gil and husband Jhon of Columbia, South America; stepson, Jack Shafer Jr. and wife Danielle of North Harlowe; sister, Charlene Beigh of Newport; and grandchildren, J-hon Gil, Elia Gil, Logan Shafer and Josie Shafer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sharon Sanford.
