Geraldine Campbell

November 17, 1929 — March 4, 2010

Geraldine Campbell, 80, of Newport, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at her residence.

Mom loved life and loved to experience new things. She loved to travel to new places and was quite the dare devil. She learned to water ski when she was 7 months pregnant with her sixth child. She was an avid boogie boarder, a roller skate dancer in her early years and couldn't wait to hop on the back of Mike's motorcycle. She had a huge heart and great sense of humor and was always laughing, smiling, singing and sharing herself with others. Her hobbies included decorating cakes, bowling, watching movies, playing games, camping and SHOPPING. She loved anything that brought her together with her family and friends.

Services will be held 10:00 am Monday at Annunciation Catholic Church in Havelock with Father Greg Spencer officiating. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband, William "Soupy" Campbell, Jr.; daughter, Geraldine Marie Campbell of Morehead City; five sons, William F. Campbell, III and wife Debbie of Dallas, TX. Robert E. Campbell of the home, Michael J. Campbell and wife Cathy of Havelock, Joseph A. Campbell and wife Cathy of Newport and Paul Stephen Campbell and wife Jodi of Morehead City; two sisters, Aileen Seronick of Sierra Vista, AZ and Mary Jacques of McKinley, TX;10 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Sunday at Munden Funeral Home.
