Gerald Murdoch

Gerald Murdoch, son of Maude Estelle Lewis and Lee Anderson Murdoch, was born in Wildwood, North Carolina on January 26, 1923. A proud veteran of WWII, civic leader, and strong Christian, he went to meet his Lord and Savior on November 10, 2024, at the age of 101.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 30th at Wildwood Presbyterian Church in Newport.

He is predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Hubeny Murdoch, his parents Maude Estelle Lewis and Lee Anderson Murdoch, and brothers James Roland Murdoch and John Walton Murdoch.

He is survived by his adoring daughters, Cheryl Murdoch Blanton (Gary), and Patricia Lee Murdoch, grandchildren Tamara Blanton Shatterly (Bobby), and Carlton William Blanton (Meghan), great granddaughters Mary Logan Shatterly and Anderson Claire Shatterly and sister Janice Murdoch Dunn.
