Georgia Arthur

Georgia Mae Arthur, 81, of Stacy, died Monday, April 12, 2010, at Carteret General Hospital.

Mrs. Arthur was born May 26, 1928, to the late John W. and Mamie Fulcher. She grew up and lived in Stacy, where she found enjoyment in cooking. Some items to mention are her homemade fig cakes, rice pudding and lightrolls. She loved quilting, putting puzzles together and always loved her puzzle books. She was a long time member of Stacy Free Will Baptist Church. She was a loving and kind person, who had many friends. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and friends,but she will live forever in our hearts.

Services will be held 2:00 pm Friday at Stacy Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Stacy Community Cemetery.

She is survived by three children, Daphne Kay and husband Mervin Pugh of Odessa, TX, Johnny Dean and wife Clarice of Stacy and Agatha Lynn and special friend, Sam of Columbus, OH, a brother, Mervin Fulcher and wife Windley of Bettie; special sister-in-law, Sylvia Fulcher; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild, all of whom she loved dearly. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and a special aunt, Leonda.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Arthur and a brother, Graham Fulcher.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday at Stacy Free Will Baptist Church
