George Webster Kittrell, 79, of Morehead City, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel in Morehead City, officiated by Rev. John Spier. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
He worked at T.A. Loving Company 1957 – 1959 and then N.C. State Port Authority from 1959 until retiring in 1991. He loved volunteering and helping others, woodworking, and playing practical jokes on his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Teresa Freeman and husband, Lennie, of Morehead City and Juanita Kittrell of Crab Point; brothers, Mack D. Kittrell and wife Sherry of Atlantic Beach and John W. Kittrell and wife Susan of Crab Point; sisters, Ruby Taylor of Crab Point, Effie Burnham of Morehead City, Sara Adcox and husband Jim of Cary, and Helen Lewis and husband Tim of Hampton Rhodes, VA; granddaughter, Audrey L. Filipcic and significant other, B.F.; great-granddaughter, Kayla L. Newman and significant other, Tommy of Peletier; great-great-grandchildren, Piper and Raelynn; special friends, Barry Frazier and Jackie Wade; and his four legged friend, Kayla.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Phyllis Kittrell; parents, Mack Webster and Neta Smith Kittrell.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend a special appreciation to the nurses and staff at Carolina East Medical Center 2nd Floor Intermediate Care and Dr. Yarborough and the Hospice Staff.
