George Washington Hairr, Jr. 77, of Autryville, NC , died Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Pruitt Health Care Center.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Clement Baptist Church, 6175 Maxwell Rd. Autryville, NC.
George served in the US Navy. He was employed with Burlington Industries for many years, and retired from maintenance at NC State University.
He is survived by a daughter Felicia Johnson and husband Ben of Atlantic; sisters Mae Autry, Pearl Hall, Ruth Squires, and Geraldine Jackson and husband Bobby Ray all of Autryville, NC; and one sister in-law Mabel Hairr of Autryville, NC.
He was preceded in death by two sisters Margaret Hall and Betty Diebold, and one brother Thomas Hairr.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Clement Baptist Church at 6175 Maxwell Rd. Autryville, NC 28381.
