George Leonard Ayres, Sr.

George Leonard Ayres, Sr., 84, of Newport, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House.
George was a very devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and during his spare time you could find him watching Cop television shows and wrestling matches. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna Jean Torres and husband Angel of Morehead City, NC, and Regina Kinter of Newport, NC; daughter in-law, Joyce Ayres of Newport, NC; sons, George Ayres, Jr. of Morehead City, NC, and Gene Eric Ayres of Newport, NC; brothers, Willis C. Ayres, II, of New Brighton, PA, and James Ayres of Monaca, PA; 9 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Jean Musser Ayres; son, Edward Jason Ayres; and his parents, Willis C. Ayres and Edna Mae Brimner Ayres.
