Gene "Dave" David Namkoong
December 5, 1959 — March 4, 2015
Gene David Namkoong, 55, of Emerald Isle, NC passed away on March 4, 2015 at Crystal Coast Hospice House from complications of diabetes.
He had lived in E. I. for the past ten years, and worked for Lowe's, Inc. He was born Dec. 5, 1959, and was the son of Carol R. Namkoong and the late Gene Namkoong.
Dave lived in Raleigh from the time he was one until he moved to the coast. He graduated from Broughton High School and attended Guilford College. He was an avid fisherman, and loved bird watching and enjoying the coastal sunsets.
He is survived by his mother, sisters Barbara (Chris) N. Gooby of Savannah, GA, Melanie Namkoong (Dan Keith) of Eugene, OR and two nieces, Indica and Nikola Keith. He leaves behind many wonderful, loving friends.
Family and friends will gather to share memories and love at 5:00 on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the North Carolina State University Club in Raleigh.
