Gary E. Sheppard

Gary E. Sheppard, 61, of Carteret County, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Carteret Health Care.

A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Gary was born in Washington, DC and lived in Virginia until moving to Bath, NC in 1998. He moved to Carteret County a year ago. He was a member of the Ruritan Nationals in Bath and Bath Christian Church. He graduated from George C. Marshall High School in Falls Church, Virginia. He loved grilling, fishing and boating.

He is survived by his sister, Debbie Starliper and husband Charley of Peletier; niece, Sarah Starliper and husband Lorin Metzger; and numerous cousins in North Carolina and Virginia; and his beloved furry companion, Scout.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Betty Sheppard.
