Gary Lester

Gary Haynes Lester, 69, of Harker’s Island, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Carteret Health Care.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Vergie Mae Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Mann officiating.
Gary loved the water and was an avid fisherman for many years. A loyal Ford man, he was a jolly soul who will be missed by many.
Gary is survived by his mother, Sarah Yeomans of Otway; daughters, Theresa Carol Newkirk and husband Robert of Otway and Carolyn Michelle of Kansas; sons, Josh Lester and wife Emily of Otway and Gary Lester, Jr. of Texas; grandchildren, Micheal Lester, Sarah Pittman and many other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephew, cousin and best friend, C.P. Rose, other cousins, and his faithful four legged companion, Buck.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Roy “Joe” Lorens Lester; sisters, Madeline “Carolyn” Day and Lorraine Shay.
