Gary Lee Langston

Gary Lee Langston, 73, Newport, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Carteret Health Care.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Amariah Garner Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Steve Dixon and Gary’s nephew, Pastor Michael Rowell.
Gary was born December 11, 1944 in Kinston to the late Zeb and Katherine Langston. He retired from MCAS Cherry Point. He was a member of the Morehead City Country Club where he enjoyed golfing weekly and daily if he could. If you knew Gary, you’d know he loved golfing no matter the weather.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lorene Jarman Langston of the home; daughter, Leanne Langston and partner, Ryan Austin of Newport; grandson, Ryan Lee Austin “Junior”; sisters, Linda Hill and husband, Fuzzy, of Deep Run, Brenda Powell and husband, Larry, of Deep Run; and sister-in-law, Myrtle Langston of Kinston; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Zeb and Katherine Langston and brother, Ed Langston.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
