Garry Gardner, 66, of Morehead City went home to his Lord Friday, April 1, 2011 at home while in the loving arms of his wife and children.
A memorial service will be held by the family and the church at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Bogue Banks Baptist Church in Atlantic Beach.
Garry is survived by his wife, Sue Gardner of Morehead City; sons, G. Craven Gardner, II and wife, Nancy of Atlantic Beach, and M.Scott Gardner and wife, Cindy of Raleigh; four grandchildren, G. Craven (Trey) Gardner, III and fiancè, Jessica Vavra of Raleigh, Kimberli G. Brafford and husband, W. Kyle of Raleigh, Jamie Lynn Gardner and fiancè, J. Tyler Johnston of Newport, and M. Dylan Gardner of Raleigh; six brothers, Jerry Gardner of Virginia Beach, Horace Gardner of Nashville, NC, Jimmy Gardner of Valdesta, TX, Ronnie Gardner of Delray, FL, Charles Gardner of Rocky Mount, NC, and Stephen Gardner of Memphis, TN; and four sisters, Inez Ezzell and Edith Phillips, both of Rocky Mount, Peggy Tyson of Winston-Salem, NC, and Brenda Eason of Red Oak, NC.
The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at the family home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Garry's honor to Bogue Banks Baptist Church, 1417 West Fort Macon Road, Atlantic Beach, NC 28512.
