Frederick Wayne King, 77, of Morehead City, passed away, Monday, November 4, 2013
Services will be private.
Mr. King retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He worked with the Carteret County Board of Education while he earned his masters degree and then taught as a professor of Sociology at East Carolina University for 19 years.
He is survived by four children, Frederick Alan King, Sandra Jeanne King, Russell Earl King and wife Kelly and Daniel Jay King and wife Amy; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Violette, Kelly Welch, Emily King, Ethan King, Nickolas King, Gabriel King and Dalton Siggler; four great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Violette, Judah Violette, Anna Violette and Naomi Welch; and brother, Joe King and wife Phouc of Oklahoma City, OK.
Mr. Frederick's was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Daisy "Patsy" King, parents, William and Bessie King, and a brother, Roba Lee King.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hope Mission, PO Box 1438, Morehead City, NC 28557.
