Freda Robinson Guerin

Freda Robinson Guerin, 83, of Morehead City, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
A funeral mass will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at St. Egbert Catholic Church with Rev. Thomas R. Davis presiding. The graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Freda was a member of St. Egbert Catholic Church for over 60 years. She was a strong woman with a kind and gentle heart. Having been born and raised in Morehead City. She had a passion for the beach, clamming and being on the water. She loved life. She loved bingo, scratchoffs, UNC Tarheels, cooking, gardening, traveling, but most of all, she loved her family and her family loved her. She will truly be missed.
She is survived by three daughters, Denise Guerin Witte and husband Dennis of Morehead City, Michele Guerin Giblin and husband Martin of Morehead City, and Beverly Guerin Landen and husband Shane of Pine Knoll Shores; a brother, Alton Parker Robinson, Jr. of Morehead City; two sisters, Iris Scheper of Emerald Isle, and Patsy Barnett of Morehead City; also four grandchildren, Sean Witte, Carrie Conner and husband John, Eric Witte and wife Christina and Michaela Giblin, and four great-grandchildren, Curren, David “Jack”, Ruby and Lucius; also numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. James Denis Guerin, USMC, (retired); son, James Denis Guerin, Jr.; parents, Drucilla Swain and Alton Parker Robinson, Sr.; and a sister, Frances Krouse.
A Christian Wake will be held 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
