Franklin Lester Ward, 72, of Newport, died Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Carteret General Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, March 21 at Newport Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Carroll officiating.
He is survived by his wife Charlyne G. Ward of the home; two sons Robert "Danny" Ward of Newport, and Michael "Bryan" Ward of Newport; mother Zella Belle Ward of the home; a brother Dennis Michael Ward of Otway, NC; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Henry Lewis Ward.
Visitation will follow the service at the church.
