Frank Allen Sides

Frank Allen Sides, 74, of Newport, went home to be with his Lord Friday, December 16, 2016 at Carteret Healthcare.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Johnson, Missionary Larry Henderson, and Pastor Charles Tyler officiating.  Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.

Frank graduated from Beaufort High School, class of 1962.  He played center for the Beaufort Sea Dogs Football team when they won a State Championship.  He honorably served his country in the United States Navy.  Frank was also an honorary graduate of Temple Baptist Bible Institute.  He owned and operated Sunset Pines Mobile Home Park for 48 years and also worked for Cherry Point for 22 years.  Frank was a faithful and active member of Temple Baptist Church and a devout follower of Christ.

Frank is survived by his wife, Cindy Sides; step daughters, Natalie Maddy and Deborah Emerick; step sons, Larry Miller Jr. and Andrew Miller; brother, Edward Sides and wife Nancy; step brothers, Elton Daniels and wife Jackie, Jimmy Daniels and wife Barbara, and Donnie Daniels; nieces, Susan Sides, Frankie Sides and Laurie Gorman; grandniece, Victoria Sides; grandnephew, Edward Sides; 13 grandchildren; sister in law, Cheryl Gardner and husband Ed; and brothers in law, Guy Miller and wife Janie, and Jay Miller.

He was preceded in death by his previous wife Virginia Sides; and his parents, Alvin Sides and Mary Daniels.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Temple Baptist Church, PO Box 842, Morehead City, NC 28557.

The family will welcome friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Monday, December 19, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
