Frank M. Place Jr.

Frank M. Place Jr. passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2025, at the age of 89. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Born on May 13, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Frank and Eleanor Place. He attended Northwestern University before serving in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1957 to 1963, where he achieved the highest enlisted rank of Master Sergeant.

Following his military service, Frank built a successful 55-year career in commercial and residential real estate in Illinois and Florida. Known for his passion for the game, he was an avid tennis player, a title well recognized by those who knew him. As a family, we will deeply miss his cheerful disposition, sharp wit, and unpredictable sense of humor. Frank was exceedingly loving and demonstrated his devotion in countless, unique ways.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Sherran, of 33 years, his loving children, stepchildren, and grandchildren, as well as many dear friends.
