Frank Pilney

Frank J. Pilney, Jr., 73 of Beaufort, NC, passed away on November 1, 2013. He was born January 6, 1940 in Sharon, PA to the late Frank Joseph and Mary Helen (nee Kuruc) Pilney . He was a graduate of Sharon High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Youngstown State University. After graduation, he served honorably in the United State Army.
He was employed with RMI Company, Niles, OH for over 22 years his positions included assistant comptroller for the Niles and Ashtabula facilities and comptroller for the TRADCO facility in Washington, MO. In 1981 he was promoted to the position of Director of Corporate Management Systems and Managing Director of Hotsite. His last position was with CSC, Cary, NC where he held various positions until his retirement in January 2001.
Frank spent his retirement years at Sandy Point where he filled his days with nature, his animals and his love of reading.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Elke (nee Richter); loving children Gregory Pilney, Dr. Jeffry Pilney, Coleen (James) Patneau and Wade (Joanne) Heiskell; treasured grandchildren Hunter, Lauren, Matthew and Devon; brother-in-law Dennis Alexander, nieces, nephews and cousins of Sharon, PA.
He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Viola Chesmar and Sandy Alexander.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in, in Frank’s memory, to the Carteret County Humane Society Shelter, 853 Hibbs Rd., Newport, NC 28570.
Services and interment will be held at a later date at St. Stanislaus Church, Sharon, PA.
