Frances S. Doolittle, of Newport, died Sunday, May 19, 2013, Croatan Ridge Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be held 4:00pm Monday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Mariner officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Blackledge Cemetery in Laurel, MS.
She is survived by her daughter, Alesia Doolittle Hill and husband Al of Newport; sons, Jeffrey F. Doolittle and wife Cecilia of Clayton, NC, Terry Russell Doolittle and Kenneth Jon Doolittle of Mississippi, and William “Billy” Franklin Doolittle and wife Deborah of Newport; sister, Nora Mae Moss and husband Buddy; grandchildren, Asa Branden Doolittle and wife Debra, Shawn Lee Ingram, Megan Doolittle Johnson and husband Kane, Terri Doolittle Garrison and husband David, Edward Francis Swanson, Timothy Edward Doolittle and wife Leslie, Rachel Diana Doolittle, Gabrielle Glyn Doolittle, Kyndall Renee Doolittle, Matthew James Hill and wife Nicole, Ashley Renee Cox, and Alan Spencer Hill; and great-grandchildren, Angel Lee Hill, Shawna Diane Ingram Alexandrea Nicole Clark, Allison Kane Johnson, Mary Elizabeth Garrison, Frances Marjorie Garrison, Hunter William Doolittle, Kyleigh Doolittle and Haley Mae Marsh, and sisters-in-law, Mildred Griffith Stroud, Mary Frances "Tiny" Webb Stroud and JoAnn Robertson Stroud.
Mrs. Doolittle was preceded in death by her parents Mary Fronie Dean and Perry Franklin Stroud, husband, Jeff Doolittle; brothers, Perry Leonard Stroud, Morris Amos Stroud, Otto “Blue” Gilbert Stroud, Marvis “Monkey” Zelma Stroud, Jesse Austin Stroud, Joseph Thrash Stroud; sister, Irma Joyce Satanksi and husband Charles “Ski”; sisters-in-law, Wanda Peden Stroud, Junie Pace Stroud, and Marjorie Edenfield Stroud.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
