Floyd Emil Hobart, Jr.

Floyd Emil Hobart Jr., 81, of Stella, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 28th, 2018.

Floyd was born in Takoma Park, Maryland on May 17th, 1937, to proud parents Floyd and Mary Hobart.   He was married to Dorothy Dixon Hobart, his loving and gracious wife of 51 years.

He is survived by his children, Floyd Hobart of Lake City, FL and Trish Kinney of Newport; grandchildren, Wendy O’Brien and husband, Tim, of Swansboro, Michelle and Kristen Jackson of Tampa, FL, Christopher Hobart of Stella, Jessica Downing and husband, Cody, of Tucson, AZ, Erika Hobart of Belvidere, NJ, Nicholas Kinney of Newport, as well as Samantha and Brian Dunbar of Port Charlotte, FL; great-granddaughters, Lauren O’Brien, Lily Hobart, and Emalee Cooke with Gabriella Rose Kinney to arrive in December.  Extended family to include, Maurice Jackson of Tampa, FL, and Jay Dunbar of Port Charlotte, FL.

He was predeceased by wife, Dorothy Hobart; daughters, Elizabeth Ann Jackson and Susan Mary Peterson; grandson, Daniel Voorhis; son-in-law, Mick Kinney; and granddaughters, Dorothy Carroll Peterson and Amber Nicole Kinney.
