Floyd Louis Dufore, Sr

Floyd Louis Dufore, Sr., 83, of Beaufort, died Monday, February 9, 2015 at Crystal Coast Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Wade officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens.

Ret Capt. USMC Dufore, retired after 26 years of service, he also worked for Smith Industries out of Clearwater, FL for 22years. He was a member of Ann St. United Methodist Church, MOA, VFW, and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Iva Dufore of the home; two daughters Cathy Brandt of Morehead City, and Debbie Hults and husband Russell of Morehead City; two sons Floyd Louis Dufore, Jr. and wife Sherry of Durham, and Tim Dufore of Sydney, Australia; two sisters Jackie Bellah and husband Jay of Flint, MI, and Annie Bennett of Scottville, MI; and six grandchildren Jeremy Brandt, Jordan Brandt, Caitlyn Brandt, Caroline Brandt, Brandon Hults, and Paige Hults.

He was preceded in death by his parents Irving and Vera Dufore, grandson Ashley Dufore, two brothers Irving Dufore, Jr., and Charles Dufore, a sister Louella Beagle, a son in-law Scott Brandt, and a brother in-law Robert Bennett.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
