Florine Hardesty, 84, of Mill Creek, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Carteret General Hospital.
Services will be held 2:00 pm Friday at Reece’s Chapel in Mill Creek with Rev. James Chadwick officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery in Mill Creek.
She is survived by her son, Cecil Hardesty and wife, Dawn of Mill Creek; brothers, Hugh Whaley, Jr. of Newport, Johnny Whaley, and Richard Whaley; sisters, Frances Lilly, and Mary Dowdy, all of Mill Creek, and Brenda Harvey of TX; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Marvin Cecil Hardesty, Sr.; sons, Kerry Hardesty, and David Hardesty; and brother, Early Whaley.
The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday at the church.
