Harkers Island was the only place he called home, and riding to Shell Point and the Westerd were his daily routine.

He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Lewis Gillikin and husband Howard Paul of Otway and Scarlett Lewis Ward and husband Tom of Harkers Island; son, Mark Lewis and wife Ashley of Gloucester; brothers, Danny Lewis of Harkers Island, Dick Lewis and wife Charlotte of Morehead City and Ronnie Paul Lewis of Morehead City; grandchildren, Megan, Katlyn, Gage, Jacob and Walker Dean; step-grandson, Calvin; great-granddaughter, Grace; nieces, Shell, Dani Jo and Allison; nephew, Corey; numerous great nieces and nephews; and caretaker, Darlene.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister in law, Susan Lewis; and his beloved furry friend, Muffin.
