MOM YOU'RE RESTING NOW

On April 28th 2011, Evelyn Graham Hobson went to that resting place in the arms of Jesus.

Services will be held 1:00 pm Monday at Broad Creek Church of God with Rev. Wes Holmes and Rev. Matthew Smith officiating.

She was born in 1935 to Delmus and Letichia Graham of the Broad Creek Community. She grew up and lived in the area until her later years in life, at which time she made her home at the Harborview Nursing Home. It was here, in the twilight moments of her life, that she continued to love and enjoy life. By loving God and the people around her, she has left a legacy that even now lives on in the lives that she touched.

Mom was not a person of worldly accomplishment, award, or accelade, but in Heaven Mother will receive awards in abundance for her faithfulness to her Risen Savior, to her husband of nearly 46 years, and to her children and those she called friends.

She is survived by her loving husband, Nathan James Hobson; sons, Ray Bass and wife, Susan, and James T. Bass; daughters, Linda Ronca and husband, Nick, Sandra Schrader, and Dorothy Andrus and husband, Philip, and son, Nathan Timothy Hobson and wife, Sue.

Oh how she loved her grandchildren. Seven survive her as well as ten great-grandchildren. Her Aunt Helen Frost survives her at Harborview Nursing Home, where they had sweet fellowship until the time of Mom's passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara Graham Barton; and two infant siblings.

Our love goes out to all those special people who made our mother's life sweeter each day. She had a deep love for her Aunt Virginia Dixon, her daughters, and their spouses. We thank them for the great love and attention they gave to our mother as they did our grandmother. There are many stars in Heaven to be placed in your crowns. To her Harborview Staff, yes Mother was the Harborview Diva and you always accommodated her and made sure she was able to play that part. She was and still is beautiful. Thank you, Dr. CV, Dr. Duda and the entire CGH Staff who worked tirelessly to save our mother, but it was not to be.

You're resting now, Mother. No more pain or tiredness. Jesus Himself has wiped away every tear from your eye....rest, Mom.

The family will receive friends 11:30 am Monday prior to the service at the church.
