Eva Paul Lockey, 97, of Morehead City, went home to be with the Lord Monday December 26, surrounded by her loving family.
A funeral service will be held 11:00am Friday December 30, at Munden Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. LaVera Parato officiating.
Eva and her late husband Gordon were active members of the Angier Primitive Baptist Church prior to becoming members of Newport River Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters: Ann Lockey Coker of Beaufort, Jeanette Lockey Peck of Selma, Martha Lockey Lawrence and husband Jimmy of Gloucester, a son Kent Lockey and wife Debbie of Raleigh, a brother in-law H. Clay Wynne of Straits: twelve grandchildren Lisa Pope and husband Charles, Al Strickland and wife Donna, Ed Strickland and wife Frances, Carole Fann, Brenda Uhler and husband Eric, Alan Fann, Nathan Proctor, Renee Myers and husband Chris, Jim Lawrence and wife Kristina, Greg Lawrence and wife Rebecca, Heather Lockey, Meredith Tankard and husband Will: 26 great grandchildren: six great great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews, and her loving caregivers at Snug Harbor, Sea Level.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Mason Lockey, six sibilings: and two great grandchildren Michele Lynn Strickland and Lillianna Rose Lawrence.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
