Ethelene Williams Atkinson

Ethelene Williams Atkinson, 85, passed away Wednesday June 8, 2016 at Harborview Heath Care Center.
A private graveside service will be held at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Ethelene loved gardening, fishing, and really enjoyed cooking and baking. Her wonderful cakes and pies will surely be missed.
She is survived by her sons, Phillip B. Atkinson Sr. and wife Anne-Marie of Emerald Isle and Stanley R. Atkinson and wife Pam of Cape Carteret; sister Verta Mae Grindstaff of Raleigh; and 3 grandchildren, Phillip B. Atkinson, Jr., Meredith A. Atkinson and Nathaniel Atkinson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Durwood Ray Atkinson; and her parents, Alma Hunter and Benton Williams.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 9:00 pm Friday, June 10, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home.
