Ethel Taylor

Ethel Salter Taylor, 92, of Atlantic, died at home early Tuesday morning, following a long illness.
Mrs. Taylor was born October 4th, 1917, the youngest of six children. She attended and graduated from Atlantic High School and attended business school in Beaufort. She lived in Morehead City, Portsmouth, VA, Key West, FL, and returned home to Atlantic in 1960. She worked in Civil Service until her retirement. Ethel was a life long member of Atlantic United Methodist Church.
Services will be held 11:00 am Friday at Atlantic United Methodist Church with Rev. David Thick officiating. Interment will follow in Atlantic Community Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Guy Taylor, Sr., a son, Guy Taylor, Jr. and wife Phyllis of Astoria, OR and a daughter, Donna Taylor Smith and her husband David of Atlantic. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Trevor Taylor and wife Keiko, Michael Taylor and wife Tereasa, and Melanie Smith Perez and husband Garth and five great grandchildren, Megumi, Joy, Gregory, Tawny and Jake.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. .
