Ernest Curtis Moore

Ernest Curtis Moore, 88, of Morehead City, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center.

His funeral service, with military honors, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Salter Path United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. David Bratton. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.

Ernest was a friend to everyone. He loved to hunt, fish and play golf with his friends. He was a faithful and dedicated member of the Sudan Flag Unit and the Masonic Lodge.  Ernest was a loving husband and father.

He is survived by his wife, Gayle Moore of the home; son, Stephen Moore of the home, Danny Ray Heath and wife, Cheryl, of Comfort, and Jamie Noah Heath of Trenton; daughter, Sue Pack and husband, Jim, of New Bern; sister, Marie Smith of Salter Path; sister-in-law, Peggy Moore of Morehead City; grandchildren, Jeff Pack, Michelle Uphold and husband, Jerry, Summer Heath, Jamie “Bubba Heath, Dylan Heath, Sherdan Heath; great-grandchild, Raiden McCall; nieces, Anna Frost and husband, Tony of Salter Path, Alice Willis and husband, Ted, of Salter Path and Frieda Fiorini and husband, Michael of Salter Path, Myra Moore of New Bern; and nephew, William Dingess of Salter Path.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Sara Moore and brothers, Plymouth Moore and Joe Moore.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Salter Path United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Munden Funeral Home at 2112 Arendell St., Morehead City, NC 28557 in care of the Moore Family.
