Ernest A. Berg, 64, of Newport, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017, at Cherry Point Bay.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at Munden Funeral Home & Cremations Chapel, Havelock, NC.
Ernest was in the New Jersey National Guard. He also had a long career as an automotive glass installer.
He is survived by his daughter; Kristi Berg; stepdaughter, Misty Wilson; stepson, Daryle Newsome; granddaughter; LillyAnna; sisters, Janet Brodowicz and husband Casimir "Kaz" and Patricia Mena; 3 nephews and 4 nieces.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Berg and mother, Pauline Good; and sister, Eva Rheude.
In lieu of flowers, donations by be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 28105.
