Erik Hoveland
December 22, 1971 — June 21, 2016
Erik Hoveland, 44, of Cape Carteret, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at his home following the recovery from a surgical procedure.
A celebration of life service will be Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at his parents home.
Erik was born and raised in Annapolis Maryland. He moved to Swansboro, NC in 1989 and worked in Morehead City with family members at Rapscallions Restaurant and Talybont Furniture. He later started his own business “Eye to Detail” specializing in landscaping and auto detailing. Erik had an infectious laugh, and cared for everyone he met. He was an accomplished artist and loved to fish.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Hoveland and their dog, Bella; his loving parents, Bill and Jane Hoveland of Cape Carteret; brothers, Christopher J. Hoveland and wife Kim of New Bern; M. Shawn Hoveland and wife Carolyn of New Bern; nieces and nephews, Lydia, Mary Holland, Michael and Isabella.
