Eric H. Bjork

Eric H. Bjork, 91, of Morehead City, formerly of Advance, NC, died Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Harborview Health Care Center.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel, 108 E. Kinderton Way, Advance, NC.
Mr. Bjork served in the US Merchant Marines during World War II. He was an avid model railroader, active member of South Bound Model Railroad Club, and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston Salem.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rita Bjork of Morehead City; three children, Bruce Bjork and wife Susan of Connecticut, Marilyn Shuping and husband Mike of Advance, and Alan Bjork and wife Mary Kaye of Parker, CO; nine grandchildren, Amy, Greg, Jennifer, Matt, Kyle, Kevin, Adam, Christopher and Eric; five great-grandchildren; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elis and Freda Bjork.
