Eric Shawn Guthrie, 39, of Salter Path, died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at his home.
A Celebration of Eric's Life will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at Salter Path United Methodist Church with Rev. Clyde Cheezum officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
He was a shrimp boat captain on the "Miss Makenzie" and he was co-owner of the Crab Shack in Salter Path.
He is survived by mother, Joyce Dixon Hopewell and husband Guy of Atlantic Beach; father, Vernon Guthrie and stepmother, Lori of Salter Path; brother, Craig Guthrie and wife Sharon of Salter Path; step-brother, Patrick Garner; step-sister, Erin Garner; niece, Makenzie Guthrie; his two dogs, Marshall and Tucker; and all of the employees at the Crab Shack.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rita and Theodore Guthrie, and maternal grandparents, Clarence and Edith Dixon.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday at the church.
