Elva Guthrie Irvine, 87, Harkers Island, died peacefully Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at her daughters home.
A funeral service will be held 12:30 Saturday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Baccus officiating.
She is survived by a daughter Donna Wade and husband Sam of Gloucester; a son Kenny Irvine and wife Shirley of Pinetops; eight grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a sister Rita Hill of Harkers Island; and brother Jack Guthrie of Harkers Island.
She was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Carrie Guthrie, husband Andrew Gale Irvine, Sr., sons Andrew Gale Irvine.Jr., and Kyle Walker Irvine, daughter Deloris Irvine Lewis, son Robert Dale Irvine, grandson Jeremy Alan Fulcher, two sisters Estelle Fulcher, and Muriel Lee Salter, and two brothers Leslie Guthrie, and Donald Guthrie.
Visitation will be 11:00-12:00 Saturday at Munden Funeral Home.
