Eloise Kennedy Cullen

Eloise Kennedy Cullen, 97, of Morehead City, died Wednesday, May 9­, 2018 at her home.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City, officiated by Pastor Darryl Chadwick. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018 at the Harrells Cemetery in Harrells, NC officiated by the Pastor of United Methodist Church of Harrells, where she was lifetime member.

Born in Harrells, NC on September 23, 1920 to George and Sunny Kennedy.

She was a graduate of Franklin High School in Harrells in 1937 and from East Carolina Teachers College (ECU) in 1941.

Married January 1st, 1946 in Myrtle Beach, SC to Robert Anthony Cullen “Bob”.  They moved to New York then 1956 to Oceanside, NY then in 1974 to Morehead City.

She attended Jackie Eure Sunday School class at First United Methodist Church of Morehead City, also a member of the Methodist Women’s Circle and she was a member of Sea and Sound Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Cullen “Bob”; her parents, George Roe “DeDaddy” and Bethel Pearson “Sunny” Kennedy of Harrells; sisters, Lucy and her husband Silas Thorne of Morehead City, Katie and her husband Rhodes Eakins of Delway.

Survivors include: daughters, Annette Locorriere of Long Island, Mary Cullen of the home; sons Robert A. Cullen his wife Janine Iversen Cullen of Beaufort, Daniel Roe Cullen of the home; four grandchildren, Nick Locorriere of Long Island, Lisa Locorriere, Robert A. Cullen, III of Durham, Derreck T. Cullen of Mt. Ulla; 2 great-grandchildren, Robert A. Cullen, IV, Derreck T. Cullen, II and niece, Kathy Eakins of Harrells, NC.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday May 12, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home, and following will receive friends at the home, 214 Lands End Rd, Morehead City, NC.
