Elmina Vellines

Elmina "Sis" Shelton Velliness of Beaufort, NC died September 17, 2009.
She was born February 28, 1925 in Statesville, NC., daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Garland Shelton and widow of Charles Mathias Vellines.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Morehead City.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Monday at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Tim Havileck officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
She is survived by daughter, Sandra Roach Elliott and husband Charles of Beaufort, NC; sons, Jackson Thomas Roach and wife Meredith of Colorodo Springs, CO, William Blair Roach and wife Amy of Morehead City, NC, and Thomas Shelton Roach of Beaufort; brother, William Garland Shelton of Statesville; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Valliness was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas N. Shelton and Joseph G. Shelton.
The family will receive friends following the service at her son Williams at 221 Rochelle Dr., Morehead City, NC.
