Ellen M. Schmidt, 85, Newport, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at her home with family.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Manley B. Rose, Jr. officiating.
Ellen was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Lakeworth, FL.
She is survived by her husband Alex Schmidt of the home; one son Martin Schmidt, Sr. and wife Gen of Succasunna, NJ; two daughters Allison Stebner and husband Daniel of Morehead City, NC, and Susan McMahon and husband Charles of Randolph, NJ; seven grandchildren Kelly Beach of New Jersey, Courtney Cowley of Beaufort, Charles McMahon, Jr of New Jersey, Danielle Schmidt of New Jersey, Martin Schmidt, Jr. of New Jersey, Thomas Stebner of Morehead City, and Timothy Stebner of Morehead City; and three great grandchildren Caitlin Beach, Emily Beach, and Sean Cowley, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Ellen Stahle, and a brother Charles Stahle.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
