Elizabeth "Billie" Bruno, of Havelock, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Monday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Father Tom Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
She was a member of Memories Beach Club and was inducted into the Atlantic Beach Shaggers Hall of Fame in 2000, and she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 25 years.
She is survived by her son, Michael Bruno and wife Bonnie of Havelock; daughter, Maria Maroules and husband Eddie of Kinston; five grandchildren, Patrick Bruno, and wife Michelle Trey Maroules, Michael Maroules, Tracy Bruno and Elizabeth DeGiosio and husband Bobby; two great-grandchildren, Kai Bruno and Miles DeGiosio; and a nephew who was like a grandson to Billie, Marlo Blue Blackburn; and numerous other nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Emily English, husband, Patrick M. Bruno, three sisters, Gladys Walker, Patricia Midgett and Joyce Blackburn, and two brothers, Claude English and William Douglas English.
The family will receive friends 3:00 - 5:00 pm Sunday at Munden Funeral Home.
