Elizabeth (Silva) Webster

July 11, 1957 — February 28, 2015

Elizabeth Silva Webster, 57, of Newport, died Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Carteret General Hospital.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken McCoy officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.

Elizabeth was born July 11 1957 to Emeterio and Florensenda Silva in San Manuel, Tarlac, in the Philippines. She brought to the United States by her parents as a teenager and lived in Waipahu, HI. She met Calvin when he was stationed at MCAS Kaneohe Bay, HI. They married in 1978 and moved to Quantico, VA then Havelock, NC following Calvin's military assignments. They settled in Newport North Carolina when Calvin retired from the U.S. Marine Corps. She was a born-again Christian and looked forward to life eternal with our Lord Jesus Christ. She loved Bingo, and was an active member of the local Philipino Community.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years. , Calvin Webster of the home; two daughters, Christine Webster of New Bern and Michelle Webster of Newport; son, Calvin Webster II, and wife Anne Marie of Charleston, SC; mother, Florensenda Silva of the Philippines; two brothers, Sammy Silva and Emeterio Silva Jr. of Hawaii; five sisters, Remy Silva, Marilyn Hoffman, Ruth Silva, Teresita Lanuza, and Flor Silva; and seven grandchildren, Jaheim Webster, Kiana Webster, Troy Webster, Natalie Cartwright, Nathan Cartwright, Savannah Parish, and Luca Webster.


She was preceded in death by her father, Emeterio Silva; and two grandchilden, Raheim Lovick and Theodore Cardona Jr..

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Munden Funeral Home for an open-casket visitation.
