Elizabeth H. Daisey

Elizabeth H. Daisey, 98, of Newport, previously of Chincoteague, VA, passed away Friday, January 4­, 2019, at Crystal Bluffs Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Union Baptist Church in Chincoteague, Virginia, officiated by Rev. Kevin Eley. Interment will follow at Taylor Cemetery in Temperanceville, Virginia.

Elizabeth cherished her family and had a deep love for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was a faithful Christian woman who was devoted to her church, Union Baptist in Virginia.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda L. Guerry; sons, Asher L. Daisey and Robert L. Daisey; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Annie Cherricks; son, Fletcher L. Taylor; sister, Charlotte Sigmon; and 2 grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019, at Salyer Funeral Home in Chincoteague, Virginia.
