Elijah "EB' Gillikin

Elijah "E. B." Gillikin, 71, of Harkers Island, died Sunday, August 1, 2010, at his residence.
Mr. Gillikin was one of the founding members of Harkers Island Volunteer Fire and Rescue. He owned and operated Gillikin Service Station, later known as Harkers Island Tackle Company. He was a member of Crissie Wright Masonic Lodge #741, and of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Harkers Island.
Services will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Lewis Gillikin of the home; two daughters, Diana Louise Gillikin of Austin, TX, and Debbie Lynn Lovick of Gloucester; two sons, David Alan Gillikin of Otway, and Dennis Michael Gillikin of Harker's Island; three sisters, Betty Gillikin of Williston, Carolyn Guthrie of Williston, and Cynthia Dodge of Gastonia, NC; and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Carteret County, PO Drawer 1619, Morehead City, NC 28557.
