Eli "Bud" Stephenson

Eli “Bud” Stephenson, 69, of Newport, died Sunday, November 28, 2010, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held 11:00 am Friday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Susan Lindblade officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Mr. Stephenson retired from the US Marine Corps where he served as an Avionics Technition. From there, he retired from the US Postal Service, having served Atlantic Beach.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Stephenson of Newport; daughter, Barbara Mendoza of Beaufort; son, George Franklin Lewis of Morehead City; two sisters, Kathy Bradley of MS, and Sally Barker of MT; five grandchildren, Michelle Fore of VA, Timmy Mendoza of Beaufort, Tony Mendoza of Morehead City, Tommy Mendoza of Newport, and Teresa Conner of Morehead City, and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 6:00pm to 8:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home.
