Carol “Elaine” Roberson Loggins, 75, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill.
A memorial service to honor Elaine’s life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, October 12th at Munden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Born on March 25, 1949, in Winston Salem, NC, Elaine was the beloved daughter of the late Hill Roberson and Mary Belle Byrd Outlaw. In March of 1980, Elaine relocated to the coast, settling in Carteret County, a perfect match for her love of the ocean. Her vibrant spirit shone brightly as she spent countless joyful hours boating and fishing, particularly enjoying marlin and trout. Beyond the water, Elaine found happiness in tending her garden, always eager to celebrate a bountiful harvest.
Elaine's warmth and friendliness made her a beloved figure at Sea Water Marina, where she dedicated herself to managing the store. Her cheerful presence and welcoming smile left a lasting impression on all who crossed her path.
Driven by a genuine compassion for others, Elaine furthered her education and earned her nursing degree. She had a passion for hospice patients and their families and was widely recognized for the exceptional care and support she provided, exemplifying her deep commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those around her.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Tazma Loggins Bright (Gerald) of Newport, NC and Amber Loggins Autry (Paul) of Winston Salem, NC; sister, Elizabeth Travis of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, C.J. Cottle (Rachel) of Jacksonville, NC, Morgan Carroll (Gray) of Morehead City, NC, and Logan Vota (Mitch) of Reidsville, NC; and great-grandchildren, Delaney, Jaxon, Carson, Caroline, Cassandra, Kendrick, and Quintin.
