Elaine Garner Case

Elaine Garner Case, 70, of Newport, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Carteret Health Care.

A private Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date.

When her health allowed, Elaine was loved for her ability to tell a story and make you laugh. She also loved to go kayaking and camping, and just to sit on the dock out on Broad Creek.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 47 years, Mervin Case, of the home; daughters, Tracy Mills (Timothy) and Kimberly Case, all of Newport; sisters, Patsi Garner Lewis (Jerry) and Margaret Ann Garner (Donald Mrdjenovic) of Newport; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Kelly (Samuel Mullins), Hunter Mills, and Robbie Mills, all of Newport; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Reginald “Tee” Garner and Alice Garner, Elaine was preceded in death by her son, Frankie Warren.
