Edward E. Poole, Jr.

Edward Eugene Poole, Jr., 65, of Newport, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington.

Edward was born on January 6, 1954. The Tree Man is what most people called him, for he was the owner of Ed’s Tree Service. He loved to spend his spare time on the water fishing or just relaxing having a drink. If you were blessed enough to have known Eddie Poole, then you know he had a heart of gold. He would give you the shirt off of his back to help. He will be missed tremendously but he will always be with us for he our Guardian Angel. I Love You Dad!!!

He is survived by his wife, Ann Poole; daughter, April Hill and husband Danny of New Bern; son, Ronald Eugene Poole and wife Lisa Ann of Newport, Nathan Miller and wife Amy and Michael Miller all of New Bern; mother, Betsy Frost of Johnson City, TN; step-mother, Phyllis Poole of Selma; sister, Terry Frost of Johnson City, TN; brothers, Tony Poole of Selma and David Frost and companion Edward Price of Johnson City, TN; grandchildren, William Hill, Jordan Hill, Zackery Hill, Emily Miller and Brianna Ipock.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Eugene Poole, Sr.
