Edward Bernard Nelson

Edward Nelson, 81, of Sea Level, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at his home.
A funeral service will be held 4:00 Tuesday at Atlantic United Methodist Church with Rev. George Gouge officating. Interment will follow at Styron Creek Cemetery, Sea Level, NC.
Mr. Nelson served in the U. S. Air Force and retired from civil service at Cherry Point.
He is survived by two sons, John Nelson and Mark Nelson; three daughters, Cathy Nelson, Patsy Diaz and Donna Nelson all of California; step-children, Tommy Styron of Sea Level, Stevie Styron of Stacy, Mickey Davis of Davis and Cathy Davis of Wilmington; sister, Jean Willett; nieces, Patricia Smith and husband Stephen, Phyllis Fulcher and husband Michael, Sherri Guthrie, Ginny Willis, Hayden Fulcher, Mandi Willis, Alexan Fulcher, and Tinley Guthrie; nephews, Michael Fulcher, Jr., Charles Micheal Fuchs and Bryson Willis; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Gaynelle Nelson, Edith Nelson, and parents, Ralph and Aliene Nelson.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Atlantic United Methodist Church, 511, School Dr, Atlantic, NC 28511.
